Len Clark Funeral Arrangements, 18-11-26.

Hello

I‘m sorry to report the sad news that Leonard Durbin Clark MBE, ex-Deputy Head, Head of Maths and good friend to the school alumni and scout movement died peacefully on 18th October in St. Mary’s Hospital, Paddington. Len had suffered several recent falls and was in poor health. He reached 92 years of age.

I appreciate that the majority of us will be unable to attend Len’s funeral for various reasons, including our wide-ranging locations. The following is for those who may.

The funeral will take place at noon on Tuesday 18th November at St Mary-on-Paddington-Green-Church. Contact Karen Peakman in the parish office (020 7723 7266) with any questions. Len’s body will be received on Monday 17th at 6.30pm, and prayers will be said. All are welcome to attend this. The funeral will be followed by a buffet lunch in the church.

There will be no dress code as such. Black ties aren’t expected, with smart casual being suggested as the most appropriate dress. Those that can still fit into their Kynaston school blazers (and cap), or their Scout uniforms, are most welcome to give it a go. Knowing Len, he’d be delighted to see people show up in bright coloured clothing rather than traditional mourning attire.

A eulogy will be read at the funeral. If you’ve any interesting anecdotes involving Len then please email these to me at the address below and I’ll forward them on. It isn’t guaranteed that all received will be included in the eulogy but I plan to add all notes received to Len’s website post in due course.

Finally, please do pass on the news to anyone who knew Len.

Thanks.
