Hi all,
I was a student at Kynaston in the sixties (from 1961 to 1968 iirc) and have tried to contact old Kynastonians for the last couple of decades. One turned up around 2004 on a section of the Quintin-Kynaston website for old students, we reminisced about teachers like Mr Curtis, Mr Green, Nobby Clark, and some students, but that website disappeared and I lost touch. A Facebook old students group turned up, but was all about more recent students. I reminisced about the old day to their amusement, and the changed demographic was pleased that I had plenty to say about chessplaying friend Basit Shukoor…
please contact me.

Hi Jim, your name rings a distant bell, but without period images and some stories to relate to it is difficult to reconstruct memories. Anyway, best wishes…

Hi George
‘Nobby’ Clark often joins us for a drink at the Ordnance Arms (or did pre-Covid times as we’ve not managed a gathering since). You’ll be pleased to know that he’s well.
Regards
Rob

Hi Rob, belated thanks for your update on Nobby Clark who was a very nice and supportive bloke who came to my “rescue” on a couple of occasions. Those passionate outbursts of his in class berating George Brown and Harold Wilson are still amusing to reminisce about. Should any of you fellows come to Arizona USA on vacation in the near future (better hurry, Biblical prophecy strongly suggests the demise of “Great Babylon” in short order) please allow me to be your guide in and around the Phoenix area. Quality hotels are ridiculously cheap during the hottest summer months. No more bronchitis since moving here, and we can go to the target range to shoot some guns if so desired… and, hey, Kamil Lawani, you are welcome too…
